Wanted to share some collaborative work that I have done this spring.
On May 21st, had a such a pleasure with ISOTONE member, Sue Eddelmon, violin, Scott Eddelmont violin, Dan Alcott cello, and Larry Spivack, percussion performing Janet Danielson's “Six Pieces of a Reverberant Cosmos”. I have left New York in 2012 to move to TN and it was wonderful to be a part of one of the best cities in the world again even just for a few days!!!
On April 20, Performed the Poulenc Sextet with the Knoxville Symphony Orchestra Principal Woodwind Quintet for their Q Series at downtown Knoxville. I love this series as it is held at Market Square, vibrant hang out area of Knoxville, and the audience have great lunch and drink while they enjoy the show.
"Difficult things make you stronger" - I heard this before. I had a chance to tackle Distances Within Me by John Anthony Lennon with Junwen Jia for his graduate recital at University of Tennessee at Knoxville. This was one of the most challenging works I have learned, but its dreamy, imaginative, and ultra sensitive touch of this work kept me going to learn it throughly. Just like anything else in life, after this one, other works seemed to be much "lighter" on me.
So, here you have it, my Spring 2016 - Most of my summer will be spending time in Japan, working on my solo recital material and giving master classes. Look forward to seeing friends and family in Japan!!!
